1 loaf (8 ounces) French bread cut into 1 inch slices
6 eggs
1 ½ c. milk
1 ½ c. half and half
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cinnamon

Topping:

½ c. unsalted butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
2 Tlb. dark brown syrup
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Heavily butter 9 x 13 pan. Fill the pan with bread slices so the pan is completely covered with bread. Mix the eggs, milk, half and half, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Pour mixture over bread. 2 c. plain yogurt
1 c. oatmeal (uncooked)
½ c. sugar
2 Tlb. orange juice
1 c. peaches, diced
1 c. apples, diced
½ c. blueberries
1 banana, sliced

Blend yogurt, sugar, orange juice, and fruit. Best if it sets overnight or for several hours. Add the banana just before serving.

You can use any combination of fruit you like. I used half sugar and half splenda, too.

Linda Hardin received this recipe from her sister in Pennsylvania.
