Donna Bordelon Alder’s review of relevant literature has distilled the responses of ministry wives in 7 surveys to reflect the opinions of over 7,000 women from many denominations, and ages. Alder delivers a well-researched, well-illustrated book on the joys, the challenges, the success strategies of pastor’s wives. She combines relevant background information and advice mined from the experiences of thousands to illustrate life stories and to empathize with those considering, those anticipating, and those engaged in life as ministry wives. They no longer need to feel alone in their experiences. The strengths of this book lie in its ability to successfully capture the actual experiences and advice of these thousands of women, in its relevant life stories, its down-to-earth readable nature, and its tender encouragement sprinkled along the path enlightened by each chapter.
